London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay & Celebrations

A once in a lifetime chance to line the streets ad welcome the Olympic flame as it makes its way through the Vale of Glamorgan. Torchbearers will run through Dinas Powys between 7am and 7:10am, while the relay will continue through Barry and Barry Island between 7:16am and 8:47am. Following the torch relay a free Beach Sports Party will be held on Barry Island (9am-2pm), where you can see some sporty demonstrations and have a go at Olympic sports, including beach vollyball, wheelchair basketball and freestyle street football. Zumba taster class along the promenade at 2pm. Further Olypmic sports will also be on offer at King Square, Barry town centre, 9am-12pm.
