The Penarth Community Network's - Penarth Community Showcase Fayre

Come and meet some of the active community of Penarth Town (and its Surrounds) and find out more about - Who They Are, What They Do, and How to get Involved!

Penarth (and the area around it) has lots of community groups & organisations etc. that offer residents and visitors a chance to get involved in things like, social interactions, creating and maintaining projects, events & activities, discovering interesting knowledge, gaining new skills & new experiences, and many of the other things that a great community and its members look to provide.

A selection of these will be attending to promote themselves, so people can discover their actions & activities, projects & events and how they can get involved and support them.
You’ll also be able to find out where they've been cross-community collaborating with other groups & organisations for some of these, helping to create the community network.

It is also a networking event so representatives can meet each other, discover more about the groups they're not familiar with, and catch up on the latest news from the ones they are. (Representatives from other organisations we were unable to invite to have a pitch; due to space limitations, are also welcome to come along for this).

Open to the public. Free entry. No booking required
Doors to the event open from 1000 (the Big Fresh Pier Pavilion Cafe open from 0900).
Access via the main entrance & via the café. Wheelchair accessible throughout.

Organised under the Penarth Community Network Banner by Gwyrddio Penarth Greening, The Penarth Civic Society, and Benthyg Penarth, with assistance & collaboration from the Penarth Pier Pavilion under the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Libraries & Cultural Services Dept.

The Penarth Community Network project is an accumulation of several years of these groups & organisations coming together to establish connections and find ways to collaborate, share ideas, knowledge, projects, people's interests & skills, and more, for the benefit of the local area and its community. With Gwyrddio Penarth Greening, The Penarth Civic Society and Benthyg Penarth acting as the lead support organisations for its development. This event will also serve as an initial pre-launch peek & promotion of it and its projects, activities and other elements as well.
