What's in the Box is back and it's bigger than ever!
We've once again installed a box, in the Bro Radio studio in Barry. It's a wooden vintage box, inside clear perspex and can be seen from the Cafe at YMCA Barry.
Inside the box, is a mystery item picked by a member of the Bro Radio team. But, What's in the Box?

How to Play
For each competition round, a contestant will be randomly selected. You can enter using the form below to be in with a chance of being chosen at 8:10 am on Vale Breakfast.
We will randomly choose one person to call. If they don't answer, that's the round complete, and we move on to the next scheduled playtime, increasing the prize pot by £5.#

Terms and Conditions: What's in the Box
- The promotion begins on Monday, 1st September 2025 and will run until a correct answer is received.
- The first round will take place at approximately 8:10 am on Monday, 8th September 2025
- The answer must be extremely specific and be the commonly used name of the item.
- Entrants must be over the age of 18 and live within the Bro Radio broadcast area.
- For each round, a contestant is selected at random - see "How to play" above.
- For each competition round, a contestant will be selected at random. Use the form on this page to get yourself into the draw. The draw will be made up of entrants submitted before 23:59 the day prior.
- One entry per player per contested round. Duplicates will be deleted. You may only enter once per day.
- You must be available to appear on-air by phone once the draw has taken place. There will be one contestant rung per round. You must answer your phone within five audible on-air rings or before voicemail to play the round. If no one answers, that round is complete, and there won't be another contestant until the next round.
- For each failed round, £5 will be added to the prize pot up to a maximum value of £450.
- The first entrant to correctly identify What's in the Box, at the discretion of Bro Radio, will win the prize money.
- The prize on offer in the next contest sequence will be announced at the conclusion of the previous contest.
- Bro Radio may, on occasion, feature themed days or increase/decrease the number of plays in the competition.
- We reserve the right to solicit entries via social media or other platforms and invite people to register for the promotion.
- Bro Radio may, at our discretion, provide additional clues via, but not limited to on-air, social media, digital mediums and at events within the local community.
- Bro Radio may publish the wrong guesses on any platform during the promotion.
- Bro Radio reserves the right to make changes to Terms and Conditions at its discretion.
- We may change what's in the Box or the prize fund on offer at any point during the promotion at our absolute discretion.
- You must ordinarily be a resident within the Bro Radio TSA (Total Service Area). Entrants will be required to provide a postcode within the Vale of Glamorgan or Cardiff areas upon entry.
