Community group Celebrating Caribbean culture and heritage, bringing people together through events and activities.
Caribbean Community Wales (CCW) is continuing its Wales‑wide launch with a second major event, following a successful first launch held in Newport on 19 June 2026. This new initiative brings together people from the Caribbean and their allies to celebrate culture, share history, and help shape the future of Caribbean communities and families across Wales.
CCW was created after extensive conversations with Caribbean people across Wales, including members of the Windrush Generation. These discussions highlighted a clear need for a unified space where people can connect,
collaborate, and celebrate their heritage. Months of outreach confirmed that there is currently no single, unified voice representing the Caribbean community in Wales. CCW has been established to fill that gap—ensuring that Caribbean voices are heard, valued, and represented.
The organisation will operate through a membership‑based model, supported by four dedicated working groups focusing on culture, community, collaboration, and representation.
