Empty Chairs is a simple idea: where volunteer hosts book a small table in a pub and leave a few chairs empty - inviting anyone who wants company to join. There's no pressure, no agenda, and no expectation to stay longer than you want.
Once a month, Fiona books a table at Craft Republic in Barry on a Saturday morning, waiting for anyone to join her.
Loneliness affects people of all ages. Empty Chairs exists to create low-pressure spaces where real human connection can happen - even if it's just sitting together for a drink.
Find Fiona easily by looking for the lady in an orange top! Or alternatively, the lady sitting alone on a large table at the back!
