Join artist Janet at Penarth Pier Pavilion in the stunning Panoramic Room 617 for a two‑hour drawing workshop. Together, you’ll take inspiration from the sweeping views of Cardiff, the Penarth Headlands and the Bristol Channel, learning to capture the landscape directly from life.
Across the session, Janet will guide you step‑by‑step through composition, perspective and expressive mark‑making, helping you create a series of detailed and atmospheric sketches. All materials are provided, making this workshop suitable for both beginners and experienced creatives who want to develop their observational drawing skills.
📅 Date: 6th May ⏰ Time: 10am – 12pm 💷 Price: £35 per person 📍 Venue: Penarth Pier Pavilion – Panoramic Room 617
Why not make a day of it? After the workshop, you’re welcome to continue working on your drawings over lunch in the Big Fresh Café, located on site.
Janet’s own intricate sketches are created on location and form the foundation of her vibrant, colourful paintings. Her attention to detail captures the unique tones and textures of the landscape. As she says: “It’s about looking, and the memories that inform the painting. The details help with the accuracy of the shapes, but ultimately it’s about the experience.”
