A night of bold Welsh-language music. Three bands. Three very different sounds. All impossible to ignore.
About Beacons Cymru
Beacons Cymru is Wales’ hub for shaping music futures. For 15 years, they’ve helped young people break into the music industry, launch careers, and make waves from local stages to global recognition. Now fully independent, they’re stronger, bolder, and more determined than ever. Their mission is simple: give young talent the tools, networks, and opportunities to thrive. Equity. Creativity. Community. That’s how they’re reshaping music in Wales – more inclusive, more connected, more inspiring.

Taran – Since 2023, Taran have been taking stages by storm across Wales, London, and Brittany. Their sound mixes rock, pop, and pop-punk with honesty and punch. Debut album Yn y Cymylau (2025) dives into love, politics, and mental health. Track Popeth (DDIM) Yn Iawn hit #9 on Rhys Mwyn’s alternative chart. Big riffs. Big choruses. Big stage presence.
Penbleth – Cardiff’s indie-pop firebrand. Winners of the 2024 Pontypridd Eisteddfod Battle of the Bands. Led by the magnetic Pegi Wigley, this five-piece blends catchy hooks with unstoppable energy. Shows at Clwb Ifor Bach and Acapela have already turned heads. 2026 promises festival slots and new releases — watch this space.
