Registered Childminder Annual Decorate a Poppy

I am a local Childminder (and Army Veterans Wife) and each year I organises a decorate a poppy event to raise money for the RBL. Many of our local Childminders have family serving in the armed forces or who have served and the children we care for also have serving family members so i think its really important for our children to understand Rememberence Day and the importance of saying Thank You. Over half term, the children I care for ranging from 16 months to 9 years old will be decorating poppies ready to sell or there will be chance for adults/children to decorate their own poppy on the day. The event will be held on Tuesday 3rd November 2026 between 9.30am and 10.30am whatever the weather at Victoria Park in Barry. Helping to raise awareness and some much needed funds fir the Royal British Legion.
