Nestled on the Vale Heritage Coast among 122 acres of stunning gardens and woodlands, St Donat's Castle offers an exclusive summer wedding venue available for hire from mid-June to mid-August.

Join us for our wedding showcase, an opportunity to tour our 12th-century castle and meet our experienced wedding coordinators. This is your chance to explore the grand interiors and picturesque gardens, envisioning how they could become the perfect backdrop for your special day.

To inspire your wedding planning, Bradenstoke Hall will be beautifully styled for a wedding breakfast, showcasing its timeless beauty and charm. You can discuss your vision for your special day and ask any questions about weddings at St Donat's Castle.

Please note, this is an exclusive viewing event, not a wedding fayre.

Booking is essential with last entry to the event being 12.15pm, with departure by 1pm.


About weddings at St Donat's Castle
Nestled on the stunning South Wales coastline, St Donat’s Castle offers a truly unique setting. With its rich history, vibrant Tudor gardens, and breathtaking views over the sea toward Devon, the venue provides a picturesque and unforgettable backdrop for your wedding.

To make your day truly special, we host only one wedding per day with the romantic castle and gardens available to use for you and your guests. Venue hire includes access to:

Bradenstoke Hall – Ideal for your civil ceremony, wedding breakfast (seating up to 160 on round tables), and evening reception (capacity can increase to 200 guests).
Gun Room – Adjacent to Bradenstoke Hall, this serves as the bar area.
Great Hall – The castle’s original Tudor Hall, available as a lounge for your guests throughout the day and evening. It also serves as a drinks reception area in case of bad weather.
Inner Courtyard – Licensed for outdoor civil ceremonies, and a charming space guests pass through when entering the castle.
Top Lawn – Overlooking the sea, perfect for drinks receptions and photos, furnished with garden tables and chairs.
Beast, Rose, and Blue Gardens – Beautiful Tudor terraced gardens use for photos
Standley Room – Available as a Bridal changing room from 12:30pm until midnight if needed.
Additionally, the charming St Donat’s Church, located onsite, accommodates up to 100 guests and can be booked directly through the Parish Office.

As St Donat’s Castle is also home to UWC Atlantic College, an international boarding school, we offer weddings only outside of term time during the summer months of mid-June to mid-August.

Please Note: For weddings held on Fridays, Saturdays, or Bank Holiday Sundays, a minimum of 80 guests is required for the wedding breakfast, drinks package and evening catering.
