Including members of Railroad Bill, Junior Bill, The Heavy Quartet, and Baracwda Samba Band. Fusing Latin grooves with masterful songcraft, their live shows are a joyous celebration that moves the audience both physically and emotionally.
Their album Lovers Always Win earned praise from Radio Wales’ Adam Walton as “brilliant,” while Greg Butler of Camp Bestival described them as “an injection of Colombian sunshine… delicious! Welcome back anytime!” The Sun Kings have lit up stages at Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, and Italy’s Pennabilli Festival, and now they bring their uplifting, genre-blending sound to Barry.
Supporting them is Lemongel, a Cardiff-based alternative duo crafting emotionally charged songs layered with cinematic soundscapes. Daniel and Duarte explore vulnerability, love, and uncertainty through intimate vocals and evocative arrangements inspired by Bossa Nova, Tame Impala, and D’Angelo. Recently selected for the BBC Horizons Fund, Lemongel is preparing a new project for early 2026, combining music and visually driven storytelling to connect deeply with audiences.
Join us for an evening of Latin-infused grooves, atmospheric alternative sounds, and unforgettable live music – part of the Memo Presents original music series.
