Côr CF1 recently performed at Barry Dock as part of the town's arts festival.
The Cardiff-based choir won this year's 'Côr yr Wyl' (Choir of the Festival) prize at the National Eisteddfod in Wales and recently toured Wales with the legendary Max Boyce.
Their concert at St Helen's Church, held earlier this month, featured soprano Ffion Thomas, who is currently studying as a soloist at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
CF1's repertoire, included Robat Arwyn's 'Anfonfaf Angel' ('Guardian Angel) and the Lord's Prayer sung in Swahili.
Barry Town Mayor, Dennis Clarke, who met the choir, said: "It was a great pleasure to listen to CF1 Choir, who showed such a wide range of quality and song in their repertoire. I can see why they have won so many awards at the Eisteddfod in recent years!"
Barry Arts Festival organiser Dot Connell added: "This was an excellent evening, with one of Wales's best award-winning choirs, performing here in Barry."
"I would like to thank Barry Town Council and Newydd for their continued support for the Barry Arts Festival, and the Mayor of Barry for their attendance at the concert."
This year's Barry Arts Festival reached its climax on Monday night with American 'Old Time' folk singer Riley Baugus playing the Park Hotel on the last date of his UK tour.
