Students starting out on an aviation course have been given a welcome tour of Cardiff Airport.
Two years ago, Cardiff Metropolitan University launched the BA course on aviation management, which is run in partnership with the Rhoose airport and the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the United States.
It looks into all aspects of aviation law, management and safety along with key employment issues relating to the industry.
Students on the three-year course get to work closely alongside airport colleagues - with some going onto secure permanent roles at Rhoose.
This year's new intake of first-year students - the third since the course was launched - went behind the scenes to look at the airport's vital day-to-day operations and hear from some of its staff.
Spencer Birns, Cardiff Airport CEO, said: "Our teams thoroughly enjoy working closely with the students, helping them get a deeper understanding of safety and security and wider airport operations."
"This is a unique course delivered in partnership with the world renowned Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. It’s part of our masterplan to provide excellent further education for the next generation of talented people who want to work in the aviation industry."
