Motorists in Penarth are being advised to plan ahead as temporary traffic restrictions come into force this weekend to allow essential gas works to be carried out by Wales & West Utilities.
The restrictions will affect the junction of Cardiff Road and Redlands Road from Friday, 9 October until Sunday, 11 October.
During the works, vehicles travelling from Dinas Powys along Cardiff Road towards Llandough will not be permitted to turn right onto Redlands Road.
Drivers are urged to follow the signed diversion routes and allow extra time for their journeys.
Access to Redlands Road will remain available for traffic approaching from Llandough and the Cogan Spur, with left turns onto Redlands Road unaffected throughout the duration of the works.
Public transport services will also be impacted.
School transport services will be diverted via Llandough, Dochdwy Road and Redlands Road, while Cardiff Bus services will operate a diversion route through Sully.
The temporary measures are necessary to enable Wales & West Utilities to complete essential gas network works safely and efficiently.
