Two men have been stabbed at the same Tube station in London within 24 hours, British Transport Police have said.

Police were called to Oxford Circus underground station at 3.40am on Saturday where they found a 23-year-old man with knife injuries.

At 1.30am on Sunday, officers were called to the central London Tube station again to find another man, 41, with stab wounds.

They were both taken to hospital for treatment but their current condition is unknown.

British Transport Police said the two incidents were connected and have released a photo of a man they believe could help them with their investigation.

No arrests have been made in connection with the two assaults, the force added.
