Woman, 47, charged over Covent Garden stabbings

Thursday, 6 August 2026 14:37

A 47-year-old woman has been charged over the stabbings in London's Covent Garden on Wednesday that left four men injured.

Stella Gollovena is charged with four counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

She was remanded in custody to appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court on Thursday afternoon.

The charges comes after police were called to reports of a stabbing on Endell Street, Covent Garden, at around 12.30 on Wednesday.

Four men - aged 34, 39, 42 and 56 - were found with stab wounds and taken to hospital.

Their injuries were neither life-threatening nor life-changing, and they have since been discharged.

An air ambulance helicopter landed in Trafalgar Square as part of the response.
