On the latest edition of Vale This Week from 7pm: We'll hear from the Route Director of Wales and Borders for Network Rail about the recent emergency closure of the Brookside Level Crossing in Dinas Powys, including the safety risk assessments that led to the decision. The Vale of Glamorgan Council is currently engaging with residents over the future of the Colcot Sports Centre and Buttrills Playing Fields sites. We'll speak with Leader Lis Burnett about what they're hoping to achieve. With temperatures set to rise once again, Calon Hearts Screening & Defibrillators UK Charity has warned about the increased pressures warmer weather can put on our hearts. We'll hear from the charity's founder, Sharon Owen. We'll get an update from Spike at Beacons Cymru about the Youth Music in the Park event at Belle Vue on Saturday, and some of the young talent being showcased at the event. Friends of Belle Vue Park, Penarth Ruby will hear from Lewis at Penarth Town Council, ahead of the return of the Penarth Summer Festival at the Kymin all day Saturday, which hopes to bring everyone in the local community together.
