Your Stadium Memories
On 26th May 1999, the first rugby match was played at the then named ‘Millennium Stadium’ where Wales defeated South Africa 29-19.
Later that year, the first gig happened headlined by the Manic Street Preachers. Ever since the venue has seen sell out crowds with acts such as Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Stereophonics, Take That alongside a few Grand Slam victories, a Champions League final in 2017 and even monster trucks!
26 years on from the first ever event held at the Principality Stadium as it’s now called, on Bank Holiday Monday on Bro Radio we’ll be playing bands and artists that have graced the stage… some you may have had a ticket for and been at, some you might remember happening and others that will leave you thinking, did they really? (There's a few that have made us raise our eyebrows!)
So we want to hear from you! Your memories, tell us what was your favourite event to witness at the Stadium? When did you first walk inside the iconic venue?
Let us know using the form below or upload a voice note and then listen all day on Monday 26th May from 7am!
