Dydd Miwsig Cymru / Welsh Language Music Day

Welsh Language Music Day celebrates all forms of Welsh Language Music on Friday, 13th February 2026.

Whether you're into indie, rock, pop, funk, folk, electronica, hip-hop or anything else, there's incredible music being made in the Welsh Language for you to discover.

To celebrate, on Friday 13th February, we'll be playing a track from a Welsh Language band or artist each hour from 7 am - 7 pm, in addition to our Local Music Playlist.

On Vale Breakfast at 9 am, Nathan will be joined by Bro Radio's Welsh Show presenter and performer Angharad Rhiannon, to share some of her favourite tracks, whilst Dafydd Furnham will host a special addition of the Indie Party from 7 - 9 pm featuring two hours of Welsh Language Music Tracks.

If you're looking to experience Welsh Music live, Menter Bro Morgannwg is featuring two young rock bands at 2pm at Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg and The Memo Arts Centre, and Becaons Cymru are hosting three bold, up-and-coming indie bands at 6:30pm.
