Barry RFC Community Club Redevelopment Drop In Event

Barry Rugby Football Club is inviting local residents, community groups, businesses and stakeholders to attend a Community Hub Redevelopment Drop-In Event at the club on Wednesday 10th June.

The event will showcase the club’s long-term vision to transform Barry RFC into a modern, inclusive and sustainable community hub supporting sport, wellbeing, youth activity and wider community use. The phased redevelopment includes improved community facilities, upgraded access and parking infrastructure, wellbeing and fitness provision, and a future multi-sport 3G pitch proposal.

The project has already received strong public backing, with over 350 community responses gathered through consultation and 98% overall support for improved facilities. The club is already supporting a range of local initiatives including wellbeing sessions, veterans support, choir groups and youth activity, with the redevelopment designed to expand and strengthen that role within the community.

Visitors to the drop-in event will be able to:

* View the latest redevelopment plans and drawings
* Learn about Phase 1A entrance and infrastructure improvements
* Discuss the wider community hub vision
* Meet members of the project team and club representatives
* Share feedback and ideas

The project is evidence-led, community-backed and focused on creating a stronger long-term community asset for Barry.
