James Bond is coming to Penarth this weekend as bestselling author, comedian and co-creator of The Fast Show, Charlie Higson visits Penarth Pier Pavilion to celebrate the publication of his new 007 novel, King Zero.
The event, which is organised by award-winning independent bookshop, Griffin Books, will take place on Sunday 4 October at 7.00 pm, with Higson discussing his new take on the world’s most famous secret agent.
Higson has a long-standing connection with Bond. He first fell in love with 007 as a seven-year-old after seeing Thunderball and has since written the bestselling Young Bond series. He has become a familiar voice in the media commenting on James Bond and the future of the franchise.
King Zero, his new novel for adult readers, combines the classic ingredients of a Bond adventure - ingenious gadgets, dangerous villains, exotic locations and a race against time - with a modern story exploring the theme of power. It will delight die-hard Bond fans and entertain newcomers alike.
