Three young people from the Vale have been reflecting on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Texas, describing the experience as one that helped them build confidence, develop new skills and create unforgettable memories.
Abbie, Demi and Taryn, who are involved with the Vale Youth Service, recently travelled to the United States where they took part in a wide range of exciting activities, from horse riding and indoor skydiving to experiencing American culture and making new friendships.
The trip provided opportunities to step outside their comfort zones, helping each of them grow in confidence while learning valuable life skills that will stay with them long after returning home.
The visit was made possible thanks to the dedication and support of Vale Youth Service staff, with special thanks to youth workers Annette Harrison, Rebecca Pereira, Ruby Roberts and Nigel Bowie for helping to organise and deliver the experience.
The Texas adventure offered an incredible opportunity for the young people to broaden their horizons, embrace new challenges and represent the Vale abroad, making memories that are sure to last a lifetime.
