A man has been charged with stealing more than £5,000 worth of goods from Cardiff Bay Retail Park.
Police say Michael Beer is accused of targeting the area over a five month period, stealing over 284 items.
The 41 year-old from Grangetown was eventually identified using CCTV footage and live facial recognition technology.
Beer, who faces multiple shoplifting charges, was remanded in custody to appear before Cardiff Magistrates Court.
