The Vale of Glamorgan's annual 'Santa's Cause' Christmas appeal is back for 2024.
The annual gift-giving and fundraising campaign saw just over a thousand presents delivered to Vale families last year.
According to social services staff at Vale Council, as many 1500 local children are likely to have nothing waiting for them on Christmas Day.
Council leader Lis Burnett said: "Unfortunately, Christmas can be a time of great stress and anxiety for many families. I hope that, with the generous support of our local community, Santa's Cause can relieve that stress a little for families this Christmas."

"I have been amazed by the generosity that has poured in from residents, businesses, and staff in previous years."
"This year, whether you are able to make a donation or spread the word, you will be helping a child in the Vale to have a merry Christmas."
The council is encouraging anyone who wants to support this year's campaign to make a financial donation, so that staff can shop for exactly what each child wants to find under their Christmas tree.
If you're unable to support the appeal financially, you can still get involved by promoting Santa's Cause to friends and family or on social media.
Local business and organisations interested in supporting the campaign can do so by e-mailing santascause@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk.
