Three men from Barry have been jailed for their involvement in a drugs line supplying cocaine throughout their home town.
Ryan Greening, Daniel Laity and Adam Hartery were jailed at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday, March 17, having earlier pled guilty to drugs offences.
Their operation unravelled after Operation Jensia was launched by the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime team.
Detailed phone forensics investigation which analysed messages between devices identified Greening and Hartery as the principle holder of the line, with Laity and another 17-year-old boy acting as runners - delivering the drugs and collecting cash.
They were arrested on September 19 during an enforcement phase of the operation. Greening was hiding out at Laity’s address and Hartery was arrested at his home address.
The 17-year-old boy who it is believed was involved with the drugs line under duress was safeguarded by South Wales Police.
Ryan Greening,32, Daniel Laity, 32, and Adam Hartery, 31, were each charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and were jailed for a total of 11 years and nine months.
Ryan Greening was jailed for six years, Adam Hartery was jailed for three years and six months, and Laity was jailed for two years and three months.
Detective Constable Bathan Williams, said: “This group was supplying cocaine to their own customers but were also supplying to operatives of other drugs lines, making them a significant supplier in the area.
“Excellent work by our data forensics experts enabled us to identify their roles in the operation and importantly establish that a vulnerable 17-year-old boy was being manipulated and coerced by the group to act for them.”
