Barry Town United earned their first Adran Premier win since January after beating Aberystwyth Town 2-0.
Stevie McCarthy Campbell's side had earned just one point from their last five league games as they travelled to Park Avenue - where Aber's men's squad were finally relegated from the Cymru Premier on Friday after 33 years.
Aber's women could still mathematically follow the same fate - with bottom club Cardiff Met needing Barry to win to avoid going down on Sunday.
The first half remained goalless despite Jasmine Turner missing the chance to put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot just before the break.
But on 53 minutes, young midfielder Sienna Stone turned in her first senior goal for Barry, with Danielle Broadhurst providing the assist.
Broadhurst would turn playmaker again just six minutes as Lucy Attwood struck past keeper Chelsea Herbert for her first goal of the season.
Molly Arnesen clinched another clean sheet as Barry avenged their 3-1 defeat to Aber at Jenner Park a fortnight ago.
They remain second in the Plate Conference - and sixth overall in the table - with just three games left, starting with a home clash against conference leaders Swansea City next Sunday.
