Barry Town United lost 3-1 at Cymru Premier leaders Caernarfon Town.
Ollie Hulbert put the visitors ahead at Llandudno's Maesdu Park with his first goal of the campaign - but the Cofis hit back to leave Steve Jenkins' men without a win from their last five league outings.
Barry opted for one change from last weekend's draw with The New Saints - as summer signing Dan Barton replaced Eliot Richards, while Cardiff City loanee Morgan Wigley was on the bench following his deadline day arrival.
But it was the dependable Hulbert who struck first for the visitors after nine minutes, sliding in at close range to convert Owen Cuddihy's pinpoint cross past keeper Connor Roberts.
Caernarfon had strong shouts for a foul on Sion Bradley waved away by referee Aaron Jones, but on 22 minutes, the hosts drew level with a glancing header from captain Danny Gossett put beyond the reach of George Ratcliffe.
Barry upped the pressure but they couldn't prevent the Cofis from going ahead on the stroke of half time, when Ryan Kavanagh was tricked into giving away possession before Gossett pounced on the loose ball and calmly fired home from just outside the area.
The Cofis skipper went close to adding a third just after the break as the hosts grew in domanince until on 69 minutes, Keston Davies lost the ball to Oseki Abadeki, who outran the faltering Barry defence before teeing up Adam Davies to slot home his fifth goal of the season.
Caernarfon, who knocked Barry out of last season's play-offs, could have added a fourth - but Gossett's late penalty hit the bar as they opened up a three-point gap at the top of the table.
Barry are still looking for their first league win since the opening night of the campaign, but attention turns first to the Nathaniel MG Cup on Wednesday, when they entertain Llanelli Town in the second round.

On Saturday, Cardiff Met's winless start to the campaign continued with a 4-1 defeat at home to Colwyn Bay, despite a stunning effort from Lifumpa Mwandwe just seconds after the break.
Penybont dropped to fourth after being held to a goalless draw at Bala Town while The New Saints romped home to a 5-0 win over Haverfordwest County.
Llanelli Town continue to prop up the table without a win - or even a point - following their 5-0 demolition at the hands of Flint Town United.
