Barry Town United were held by Connah's Quay Nomads to another goalless draw in the Cymru Premier.
Steve Jenkins' side remain fifth in the table, despite a third stalemate in their last six league games.
First choice keeper George Ratcliffe returned in one of two changes following Tuesday's dramatic win at Haverfordwest County, with Dan Barton returning in midfield and defender Keston Davies dropped.
A hint of sibling rivlary spiced up the occasion with Barry defender Ben Margetson pitted against his brother, Nomads keeper Kit.
But it was Ieuan Owen who created the first meaningful chance of a pedestrian first half, latching onto Callum Sainty's lofted ball, only for his half valley to be comfortably collected by Kit.
The Nomads' closest effort saw a Rhys Hughes effort from the edge of the area sail over the bar, while Mikey George was flagged offside after just missing the near post from Ollie Hulbert's cross.
Chances remained at a premium after the break, despite an excellent save from Ratcliffe who palmed away Abdi Sharif's low drive and Hughes' tight angled effort narrowly going wide of the mark.
Ratcliffe took a tumble over the goal line from Sharif after blocking Declan Poole's right hand lob, mercifully holding firm to deny what would have been a unfortunate goal.
Barry enjoyed their best spell late on when Kit Margetson rushed off his line to clear a loose ball from Owen's path, before second later, Hulbert fired narrowly over the bar with an audacious strike.
The Nomads keeper produced the save of the afternoon to block Robbie Willmott's goalbound volley, while in the closing minutes, Ratcliffe tipped a Max Woodcock effort onto the crossbar and thwarted a low shot from sub Callum West with Barry seemingly content to settle for a point.
The first phase of the season reaches its midway point next Saturday when Barry visit Park Hall to face The New Saints, who won 2-0 at Bala to go a point clear at the top.
Penybont are up to second following their 2-0 victory over Colwyn Bay while Llanelli's fortunes appear to be on the upswing after beating bottom club Haverfordwest County 1-0 to secure back-to-back wins.
Cardiff Met are finally off the mark following their 3-0 victory over Caernarfon - their first of the season - at Llandudno on Sunday, while Flint Town United beat Briton Ferry Llansawel 2-1 in Saturday's late game.
