Llantwit Major are out of the Welsh Blood Service Cup after a 2-1 defeat to Treowen Stars in the quarter finals.
Kofi Rowe replied for Major after they fell behind to a quick fire brace from Tom Meechan in the first five minutes.
The game had already between switched to Trethomas Bluebirds' ground in Hengoed and moved from Saturday to Friday because of concerns about the weather and growing fixture backlogs for both sides.
But just two minutes in, Meechan's thunderbolt freekick rattled the crossbar as it beat Llantwit keeper Shaun Gardiner to put Treowen ahead.
Barely three minutes later, Meechan struck again from Gavin Meacham's assist to double the lead.
Rowe found his reply three minutes after the break but Karl Lewis' men offered little in finding an equaliser at Treowen booked their place in the semi finals.
Llantwit turn their attention to the final third of the Cymru South campaign, which begins - weather pending - at home to bottom club Cwmbran Celtic on Valentine's Day.

A minute's silence was held before kick off in memory of Afan Lido forward Ioan Evans, who died suddenly at the age of 26. Lido's quarter final against Newport City was postponed as a mark of respect.
