Llantwit Major held ten-man Pontypridd United to a 1-1 draw in the Cymru South on Saturday.
A goalless first half saw Ben Stait’s men make a bright start with Tom Walbeoff and Matty Kimmins going closest for the visitors.
But Ponty dominated the ball for lengthy spells and the pressure told when a Jamie Veale set piece was nodded in by Dan Griffiths past keeper Jack Lansdown, just three minutes after the break.
Sean Kelly was narrowly denied an equaliser before Llantwit drew level in the 80th minute with Matty Kimmins’ fourth goal of the season, set up by sub Madison Armstrong.
The dying moments of stoppage time saw Ponty’s Tom Stokes sent off for two yellow cards in quick succession.
Major remain seventh in the table - and unbeaten in their last three league outings - going into next Saturday’s home clash with Ammanford (2.30 ko)
