The Islanders, Barry RFC's girls group, will be holding two rugby festivals later this year.
An event for under 16s teams will be held on May 10th, followed by a festival for under 12s and under 14s on June 1st - both at the Reservoir Field.
Under-16s festival matches will be 30 minutes long, and the under-12s/14s 20 minutes long. Both festivals will feature 12-a-side matches, with teams having a maximum squad of 20. Teams will also be required to bring their own referee.
Food, entertainment and live music will also be part of both days, with medals for all. Interested teams can register by text/phone at 07496 391 238, or email Islanders.barryrfc@gmail.com
Training at the club for the Islanders section takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7pm at the Reservoir Field, for girls aged six to 18.
No experience is needed, and the club describes training sessions as a chance to make friends, have fun, get fit and learn new skills.
