Barry Town United remain on course for a top six finish in the Cymru Premier following their 1-0 win over Cardiff Met.
Steve Jenkins' men are one point clear of their local rivals in the tenth - and with a game in hand as the first phase of the season approaches its climax.
Barry edged in front after 32 minutes from a Robbie Willmott setpiece which found Ben Margetson, whose stunning bicycle kick at the far post evaded Met keeper Sam Seager.
Willmott himself went close in the second half to doubling the lead, while George Ratcliffe maintained another clean sheet as Barry stretched their lengthy unbeaten run to twelve games in all competition.
Just three games remain before the league split - starting on New Year's Eve with a lunchtime visit to Briton Ferry Llansawel (12.30pm ko) before Barry go north for their rearranged clash with Connah's Quay Nomads.
The first phase ends with a midweek home clash against Llanelli Town on January 9th.

Colwyn Bay also boosted their top six hopes with a 2-1 win over Caernarfon Town on Saturday in front of the league's biggest crowd so far this season - over 1300 at Llandudno.
Elsewhere, Chris Venables saw red for the second game running as Penybont drew 1-1 with Briton Ferry Llansawel - with a point enough for Rhys Griffiths' side to confirm their place in the Championship Conference.
Connah's Quay Nomads beat Flint Town United 2-0 in the Deeside derby while Haverfordwest County steered further clear of the relegation zone with a 3-0 win over Llanelli.
The New Saints' game against Bala was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
