Sophie Ingle scored her second Wales goal in as many games as Rhian Wilkinson's side signed off 2025 with their first - and only - win.
The Bristol City midfielder scored the opener in their 3-2 victory over Swtizerland in Malaga on Tuesday - following up from Friday's 1-1 draw with South Korea, which marked the former skipper's first international start in over a year.
Ingle took the lead on 16 minutes when she rose quickest to head home from Ceri Holland's high cross the box - her eighth goal for Wales and the first time she's scored in back-to-back fixtures since 2021.
Switzerland drew level just three minutes when Aurélie Csillag caught the Wales backline on the hop before drilling home past keeper Sofia Middleton Patel.
But Wales retook the lead when Ingle sliced through the Swiss defence with her free kick which found Hannah Cain whose 20 yard volley glided into the net.
Second half substitute Lily Woodham made an instant impact in mere seconds when she blasted home at a tight angle from Cain's right-hand cross.
Iman Beney punished Wales when captain Angharad James was caught out by the Manchester City youth who slotted in Switzerland's second from the edge of the area on 70 minutes, but after some nervy closing stages, Wales were finally able to break their 12-game winless streak.
Despite making an all-too brief appearance at the Women's Euros, Ingle's comeback from an ACL injury has now seen her score five goals for club and country since she to Bristol City from WSL champions Chelsea in August.
And with the Llandough midfielder reestablishing herself in Rhian Wilkinson's squad, Wales now turn their attention to the next Women's World Cup qualifiers, starting in the Czech Republic in March.
