Memo & Beacons Cymru Presents: Dadleoli, Taran & Penbleth

Friday, 27 February 2026 21:06

By Nathan Spackman

This March, the Memo Arts Centre welcomes audiences to a high-energy evening of live Welsh-language music with Dadleoli, Taran, and Penbleth, part of the Memo Presents series funded by the Arts Council of Wales.

Taking place on Friday 13th March, Dadleoli headline with electrifying indie-rock, anthemic choruses, and riffs that hit hard. Summer 2025 saw the band storm festivals across Wales, including Tafwyl, Sesiwn Fawr Dolgellau, Llwyfan y Maes, and Maes B at the National Eisteddfod.

Their EP Diwrnodau Haf (2023) and album Fy Myd Bach (2024) are already staples on Welsh-language radio, delivering energy, excitement, and pure indie joy.

Taran blend rock, pop, and pop-punk with honesty and punch. Their debut album Yn y Cymylau (2025) explores themes of love, politics, and mental health, while their track Popeth (DDIM) Yn Iawn reached #9 on Rhys Mwyn’s alternative chart. Expect big riffs, big choruses, and a commanding stage presence.

Penbleth, led by the magnetic Pegi Wigley, combine catchy hooks with unstoppable energy. The Cardiff indie-pop five-piece have already impressed at Clwb Ifor Bach and Acapela, and 2026 promises festival slots and new releases.

This concert follows the first Memo Presents event of 2026, Kat Rees & The Siglo Section, which offered audiences a Valentine’s evening of jazz, soul, and funk in February.
