Bro Radio is proud to announce that two of its presenters will be trading the studio for the stage this December, as they join the cast of Array Theatre’s magical production of Cinderella.
Gareth Knight, the familiar voice behind Vale Drive, and Rachael Fleming, who hosts Saturday afternoons across the Vale, will be donning their theatrical best for a festive run of performances, sharing a specially created role from 3rd to 6th December at Rhoose Community Centre.
It’ll be the first time Array Theatre Productions has put on a Panto, after previous productions of Calendar Girls, Little Shop of Horrors, Vicar of Dibley and Company.
Presented in partnership with Bro Radio and Treading The Boards, Cinderella promises to be a heartwarming family pantomime full of laughter, music, and holiday cheer.
Gareth and Rachael are stepping into character as DJ Dandini, the Prince's loyal servant, a role that’s been re-worked in a new witty way, with plenty of radio references, humour and audience interaction.
Speaking on the role, Bro Radio’s Gareth Knight said, “Following a mini stroke a few years ago, I decided to broaden my horizons and do things I wouldn't have thought of before. One includes working with our youth and adult academy courses, and the other is taking part in my first pantomime as DJ Dandini, a bit daunting but exciting, as the audience will be in front of me instead of listening on the radio”
Whilst Rachael Fleming said, “It is an absolute honour to be part of Arrays 2025 production of Cinderella. It's been a dream of mine to be part of a pantomime, and now it's coming true! All the cast and crew are phenomenal, and I can't wait to share the stage with them. Thank you to Array Theatre and to Bro Radio for this amazing opportunity.”

Upon making the announcement, Array Theatre Production creators Alana and Ryan said, “It’s been a real joy working so closely with Bro Radio since our debut production of Little Shop of Horrors in 2023, and we’re delighted to be taking the next step in our partnership. Gareth and Rachael have fitted in seamlessly with the team, and we can’t wait to see the fresh energy they’ll bring to the role of DJ Dandini.”
“There’s truly no better way to start the festive season than with a pantomime. Not only is it a wonderful introduction for young people to the magic of live theatre, but it’s also a chance to celebrate and support our local community. We’re excited to build on our relationship with Bro Radio as together we bring festive fun to The Vale—at a price that everyone can enjoy.”
Tickets are now available via Array Theatre’s official site, with the production running from the 3rd to the 6th of December.
