Le Tour de France, the world's biggest cycle race, will visit Cardiff next year.
The third stage of the 2027 race will be held in mid and south Wales on Sunday 4th July, marking the climax of a three-day Grand Depart across the UK
The 223km stage will begin in Welshpool and take in Newtown, Buillth Wells and Brecon as the peleton heads south towads Treorchy, Aberdare, Merthyr and Caerphilly before finishing in the Welsh capital.
Le Tour organisers ASO say it will be the biggest free sporting event ever to be held in the UK.

To mark the announcement, Geraint Thomas - who won the Tour in 2018 - has been named as Wales' new Cycling Ambassador following his retirement from the sport last year.
The two-time Olympic champion said: "The Tour coming to Wales is massive – these roads, these climbs and these fans are made for cycling, and now the world gets to see that."
"I can’t wait to play my part in welcoming the Tour, inspiring riders young and old, and helping make this a moment Wales will never forget."
The Grand Depart will begin from Friday 2nd July 2027 in Edinburgh, crossing the Scottish Borders into Carlisle for the opening stage, followed on Saturday 3rd by stage 2 from Keswick in the Lake District to Liverpool.
The Welsh Government says Thomas' role as ambassador will give him a platform to inspire young Welsh cyclists as it sees to maximise the long-term benefits of playing host to Le Tour, which in 2014, saw its opening stages in Yorkshire.
First Minister, Eluned Morgan, said hosting the event was "a dream come true for Welsh cycling fans".
She added: "Our range of cycling opportunities across all disciplines of the sport will be showcased to a global audience during the Tour, along with Wales’ distinctive culture, epic landscapes, iconic attractions and a “croeso” (welcome) like no other."
"Not only is the Tour coming to Wales going to be a thrilling experience for cycling fans worldwide, it’s an invaluable opportunity to show Wales’ breathtaking scenery and excellent cycle routes to a global audience."
