Barry Town United were beaten 3-1 at home to Adran Premier leaders Cardiff City.
Stevie McCarthy Campbell’s side were looking to build on last Sunday’s win over Cardiff Met, which lifted them back into the top half of the table.
The defending champions struck first on 9 minutes, when against the run of play, Ffion Price’s cross-cum-shot was met at the far post by Mikayla Cook, who tapped in past keeper Molly Arnesen.
Lily Billingham struck the post for the visitors but Barry soon drew level as Ingrid Aadland’s long range shot found the back of the net on 18 minutes.
City were back in front 20 minutes later when Fiona Barry’s effort deflected off Angharad Beman and past Arnesen.
Cardiff produced most of the chances after the break with Kerry Walklett hitting the woodwork as Barry’s defence held firm until the 89th minute, when Molly Kehoe struck from a deflection to secure all three points.
Barry remain fourth in the table, but with the first phase of the season extended for a further three weeks, their last game before the league split - away at Briton Ferry Llansawel - has been rearranged for Sunday 23rd February (5.10pm ko).
