Barry Town United secured their first win of the Adran Premier season with a 4-0 victory over Aberystwyth Town.
Manager Stevie McCarthy Campbell was looking to build on last weekend's impressive goalless draw with six-time league champions Swansea City.
With the visitors at Jenner Park also seeking their first win of the campaign, Barry handed a first start to Grace Corne, who rejoined the club from Cardiff Met last summer.
But the defender, who replaced Keira Harris, was forced off after half an hour due to injury with Ellie Preece taking her place.
The first half had offered little of note with Carys Bufton and Jasmine Turner going closest for Barry, while the Seasiders offered up a number of half chances which didn't test keeper Molly Arnesen.
It fell to Erin Murray to break the deadlock in the 43rd minute, drilling home the ball from Ellie Gurney's cross, before Turner made it two from a stunning 30 yard volley which gave away keeper Chelsea Herbert no chance.
Preece threatened to add a third soon after the break when she struck the post from close range, but she did tee up Ingrid Aadland for her first goal in yellow-and-blue on 54 minutes.
Arnesen did well to deny a Modlen Gwynne effort on her way to a second straight clean sheet, while Barry wrapped up the points on 75 minutes, when sub Emily Freeman broke down the left flank before delivering the cross for Preece, whose shot was initially saved by Herbert, before being turned in on the rebound.
Barry climb into the top five as they prepare for next Sunday's 'derby' with a Cardiff Met side still yet to pick up their first point, let alone their first win, this season.
