Barry Town United edged out Briton Ferry Llansawel in a memorable seven-goal thriller in the Cymru Premier.
Friday night's 4-3 victory at Old Road leaves Andy Legg's side five points clear at the top of the Play Off Conference - with the second phase of the campaign at the half way stage.
Barry raced into a two-goal lead as Owen Cuddihy played in Ollie Hulbert for a clinical finish past home keeper Will Fuller on seven minutes.
Cuddihy was again instrumental as his cross was volleyed home by Ieuan Owen to double the lead on 22 minutes.
But Andy Dyer's side - battling relegation from the Welsh top flight - found a reply seven minutes later via ex-Llantwit Major marksman Tom Walters, who powerfully drilled past Liam Armstrong for his seventh league goal of the campaign.
But Barry restored their two-goal lead shortly after the break from a quick counter attack, which allowed Owen to tee up his cross for Hulbert to make it a brace, taking his league goal tally for the season to twelve.
Briton Ferry manager Andy Dyer responded with a quadruple sub midway through the second half - and it paid off as Ruben Davies headed home from Caleb Demery's assist on 77 minutes.
The Reds appeared to have snatched a point with two minutes of normal time left when a Ryan Bevan corner was headed in by Keiran Williams.
But the decisive moment came in the 93rd minute - with Cuddihy again credited for the assist as his corner found Ieuan Owen, who tapped in at the back post to wrap up a Cymru Premier classic.
Barry continue to inch towards a European play-off spot at the end of the season as attention turns to their Tuesday night home clash with Aberystwyth Town, whose top flight status is hovering on the brink.
