Barry Town United held Cymru Premier champions The New Saints to a goalless draw at Jenner Park.
Steve Jenkins' men have drawn three of their five league games during the opening month of the new season.
Barry named an unchanged starting XI to face Craig Harrison's side, who have seen a mixed start to their title defence after crashing out of European football this season.
The hosts started promisingly with some good build-up play that led to Ieuan Owen's cross being collected by Nathan Sheppard before it could be bundled home by Ollie Hulbert.
The TNS keeper went onto pull off a superb save to deny the in-form Robbie Willmott from the edge of the penalty area.
Barry were forced into an early subsitution with Elliot Richards making way for summer signing Dan Barton, before Mikey George intervened to deny Jordan Williams from slotting home into an empty net from Ben Wilson's cross.
A corner from Willmott saw a goalmouth scramble for the ball, which ended with Kavanagh's cross into the danger zone headed narrowly wide by Ben Margetson, while at the other end, keeper George Ratcliffe comfortably saved Dominic Corness' effort from distance.
Barry's best chance came before half time, when Owen Cuddihy broke down the left flank to tee up Owen, who was blocked from close range by Sheppard, while some heroic defending came to Barry's aid to deny Rory Holden.
TNS came closest after the break as sub Adrian Ciselewicz allowed the ball to dangerously roll close to the goal line before Ratcliffe made a last ditch save.
But any efforts to the break the stalemate came at a premium - skipper Callum Sainty headed a Cuddihy setpiece over the bar while Sheppard prevented Hulbert from a tight angle as the game ebbed out.
Barry sit seventh in the table - and just a point off the top six - but are without a win in the league since the opening day ahead of next Sunday's televised trip to early leaders Caernarfon Town, who were held to a 1-1 draw at Haverfordwest County.

The Cofis extended their lead to two points after Penybont lost 1-0 to Connah's Quay Nomads, while Cardiff Met are still yet to win this season following a 4-2 defeat at Flint Town United.
Briton Ferry Llansawel are third following a 2-2 draw with Colwyn Bay which saw ex-Llantwit Major striker Tom Walters score a brace to add to his early goal tally of five.
And Llanelli Town remain firmly rooted to the foot of the table following a 1-0 defeat at home to Bala.
