Barry RFC is celebrating the selection of Youth players George Strong, Lloyd Beer, and Max O’Sullivan to the Boys Clubs of Wales squad.
With just 34 players selected from 19 different clubs across Wales, having three players from Barry RFC Youth is a tremendous achievement.
On the Facebook page, the club posted: “We also want to recognise the other Barry Youth players who took part in the selection process, including those who weren’t selected or were unable to continue due to other commitments. Every one of you deserves credit for your efforts.
“This is about more than three individual selections. These young players are helping to pave the way for future age groups at Barry RFC, showcasing the talent coming through our youth setup and helping the club gain recognition at this level.
“It’s a proud moment for the players, their families, coaches and everyone involved in youth rugby at Barry RFC.”
