Barry Town United return to Jenner Park this Saturday welcoming local rivals Cardiff Met

Both sides head into the fixture with perfect records after winning their opening two league games of the 2026/27 campaign. The Archers currently sit top of the table, while The Town occupy third place heading into Saturday’s clash.

Steve Jenkins’ side will be looking to make it three wins from three in front of the Barry faithful, following victories over Cambrian United and Flint Town United.

Cardiff Met have made an impressive start to the new campaign, opening their season with a convincing 6-1 victory at home to newly promoted Holywell Town.

Jasper Payne was the standout performer for The Archers, scoring a perfect hat-trick as Met began the season in style.

They followed that result with another victory on their travels, making the trip to north Wales to face fellow newly promoted side Airbus UK Broughton and returning home with all three points following a 2-0 win.

The Archers strengthened their squad ahead of the new season with several additions, including former Morecambe and Newport County midfielder Aaron Wildig, as well as Jack Veale.

With both teams yet to drop a point this season, Saturday’s fixture promises to be an exciting encounter at Jenner Park.
