Barry Town United fell to a 5-0 defeat against reigning Adran Premier champions Cardiff City.
Mackenzie Olden scored two goals against her former club, who prop up the table after three straight defeats.
Manager Stevie McCarthy Campbell welcomed back first-choice keeper Molly Arnesen following her one-game ban - but captain Emily Freeman was absent after suffering an ankle injury in last week’s battling defeat at Wrexham.
Holly Jenkins was given the armband - and with Erin Murray relieved from her temporary duties between the posts, the midfielder went close to taking a very early lead, only for her effort sailed over the bar.
The opening half hour as a whole saw both sides start brightly with City keeper Ceryn Chamberlain forced into denying Keira Harris’ header.
But Barry’s resistance gave way on 33 minutes when Olden set up Mikayala Cook to drill past Arnesen from inside the area.
The Barry keeper did well to block a dangerous 30 yard free kick from Nieve Jenkins, but City doubled their lead soon after a handball from Danielle Broadhurst, with Laura Curnock making no mistake from the spot.
It was all but game over as stoppage time approached, when Olden blasted her effort from the edge into the top corner to put Cardiff in cruise control at the break.
India Shanahan brought out another fine save from Chamberlain, but just before the hour mark, City added their fourth when the hosts failed to deal with a loose ball in the area, allowing Curnock to grab her second from close range.
Olden went inches wide to grabbing her own brace, but the former Barry striker made good in the 86th minute, latching onto Curnock’s cross and finishing past Arnesen to complete another bad day at the office for the hosts.
Cardiff top the table on goal difference while Barry are still searching for their first point going into next Sunday’s visit to Aberystwyth, whose unbeaten start ended with a 2-0 loss at Swansea City.
Pontypridd United are also struggling after a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Briton Ferry Llansawel while The New Saints beat Wrexham 4-2 in the North Wales derby at Park Hall.
