Over 50 former and current players at Barry RFC have attended the club's inaugural reunion event.
“A good old catch up, and a catch up on what is going on at the club,” was Bombers chairman Mike Prosser’s verdict on the recent get together at the Reservoir Field club.
It's hoped the reunion - the brainchild of first team player Aled Rees - will become a regular event with future reunions open to former ladies players, volunteers and staff.
“We will have another at the start of the season, and one before Christmas, just to keep the momentum going,” said Prosser. Also set to be on the social calendar is a club golf day at Brynhill.

The club will be keeping members and supporters up to date with events at the Reservoir Field by relaunching the Barry RFC website this month.
“That will be an important go-to for us,” said Prosser. “The key thing is to keep that up to date with reports and everything else going on.”
The club is now recruiting players for the first and second teams for next season. Training for the new Admiral League season starts on Tuesday 1st July at 7pm at the Reservoir Field. For more information, contact head coach Mike Morgan on 07967 891322.
