Llantwit Major's seven-game unbeaten run in the Cymru South ended with a 2-0 defeat at Cardiff Draconians.
Karl Lewis' men returned to action following a three-week break in a stop-start season by making the short Boxing Day trip to Lydstep Park.
Draconians went ahead after 17 minutes when Major's defence failed to deal with a setpiece that was turned in by Zac Cawley.
The hosts doubled their lead from another corner on 54 minutes with Oscar Raisbeck on hand to finish past keeper Ryley Allen.
Substittute Tom Stokes went close to a reply when his lofted effort went wide but Major were outclassed by a Draconians side who are fifth in the table going into 2026.
Llantwit, who are ninth, begin the New Year on Saturday 3rd January when they entertain Baglan Dragons at Windmill Lane.

Ammanford beat Carmarthen Town 1-0 in a local derby to retain third place while Aberystwyth Town won 1-0 at Pontypridd United.
In Saturday's only game, bottom club Cwmbran Celtic earned a 2-2 draw at Newport City, but they will end 2026 still looking for their first league win of the season. Ex-Barry forward Rhys Kavanagh scored for the hosts.
