Llantwit Major earned their first win of the new Cymru South season by beating ten-man Ammanford 2-1.
Ben Stait's side were aiming to bounce back from their dramatic exit in the Nathaniel MG Cup as they visited Carmarthenshire for their first away fixture of the new campaign.
Josh Morgan put the visitors in front after 14 minutes before Ammanford's Chris Bell was shown a straight red card for a rash foul.
Keeper Jack Lansdown made light work of denying Morgan Clarke from the edge of the box, before Llantwit doubled their lead via Matty Kimmins on 42 minutes, with Nathan Renfree providing the assist.
Kimmins came close to a brace but fired wide of the net in the second half, while Ammanford's efforts to find a way back eventually saw Lewis Reed peg a goal back with a quarter of an hour to go.
Reed went close to a second moments later, but his header from a corner kick produced a fine save from Lansdown.
Major held out for their first three points of the league campaign with attention now turning to Saturday's home clash with last season's runners-up, Llanelli Town (2.30pm ko)
