Llantwit Major are out of the Fenix Trophy following a 1-0 defeat to Berchem Sport in the return leg of their first round clash.
Major's hopes of reaching the quarter finals had already been dashed after the Belgian amateur club won the first leg 7-2 last month.
But Ben Stait's men bowed out of the European competition with their heads held high after a very credible performance in Bridgend on Wednesday, where they more than held their own against Berchem.
Around 150 supporters made the trip from Antwerp to South Wales, while Berchem fans unable to make the trip were able to watch the match at a local hockey club in Antwerp, as reported by local broadcaster ATV.
Since their first meeting last month, Berchem had also appointed a new head coach, Pieter De Bot, following the departure of Nico Van Uytsel.
As such, the only goal came in the 14th minute when striker Adith Conix got onto a loose ball from a corner and slotted home into an empty net.
But chances were few and far between from both sides, and although the visitors were the more dominant, Llantwit keeper Jack Lansdown made a flurry of good saves to prevent another rout.
Berchem, who won 8-2 on aggregate, will go onto face either BK Sjkold of Denmark or Athletic Sonnenberg of Germany in the last eight.
Llantwit have a blank weekend due to the Welsh Cup, but they will resume their Cymru South campaign on 23rd November, when Pontypridd United visit Windmill Lane (2pm ko).
