Llantwit Major resumed their Cymru South campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Newport City.
It marked a quick turnaround for Ben Stait's side, who returned from Belgium following their 7-2 defeat to Berchem Sport in the first leg of their midweek Fenix Trophy clash.
But 48 hours after coming home, Llantwit were able to put in an impressive shift for a well-earned point as they turned their attention back to domestic matters.
One of Major's now-seasoned internationals, Jack Lansdown, made a crucial early save to deny Calum Bateman from a Richard Noyles free kick.
The hosts themselves also went close to going ahead when Matty Kimmins latched onto Lansdown's clearance, only to be thwarted by visiting keeper Sam Burden.
But City took the lead on the half-hour mark when a scramble for Noyles' corner saw Luke Cooper poke the ball home past Lansdown.
Llantwit's response came within a minute from a Tom Tweedy setpiece, which was initially blocked by Burden before Ioan Emmanuel struck from the rebound.
Chances were more sparing for both sides in the second half - the pick of which came when Jake Barrow's header went wide of the net.
Llantwit are now unbeaten in their last eight league games - although three of the last four have produced the same 1-1 scoreline.
They drop to eighth in the table as attention turns to next Saturday's Welsh Cup second round tie against Ardal South West club Morriston Town.
