Penarth's Evan Lloyd has been added to the Wales squad ahead of their autumn series finale against South Africa.
The Cardiff hooker made his last apparance for Wales in their 22-15 defeat to Italy in the Six Nations - in what proved to be Warren Gatland's final game as head coach.
He's one of four players called up by head coach Steve Tandy as part of a revised 30-man squad, which also includes Ospreys lock James Ratti, uncapped prop Garyn Phillips and Scarlets wing Ellis Mee.
Wales' final game of a beleaguered 2025 falls outside World Rugby's official international window, which means Tandy can only select players based in Wales, despite the resumption of the URC this weekend.
Bristol Bears wing Louis Rees-Zammit, also from Penarth, is among those who will be absent after scoring two tries against Japan and New Zealand.
The enforced departure of 13 players opens up the door for the likes of Lloyd, who found himself falling out of favour with Matt Sherratt during his two spells as Wales' caretaker coach.
Wales go into next Saturday's clash with the reigning world champions following a gutsy display in their 52-26 defeat to New Zealand- which saw wing Tom Rogers make history as the first Welshman to score a hattrick against the All Blacks.
