Llantwit Major are out of the Nathaniel MG Cup after a 3-2 defeat to Cardiff Met in the second round.
Ben Stait’s side held their own against Cymru Premier opposition, but their hopes of a scalp were dashed when the Archers scored with the last kick of the game.
Met, who won the cup in 2019, took the lead through a well worked team effort, which Tom Vincent struck past keeper Ryley Allen on 16 minutes.
But the hosts drew level on the stroke of half time through Tom Walbeoff, with the assistance of Sean Kelly.
Llantwit went in front early in the second half after a foul on Matty Kimmins led to a penalty which Ioan Emmanuel duly converted past Alex Lang.
But Met restored parity via Ryan Reynolds in the 81st minute before Lewis Rees struck deep into stoppage time to book their place in the third round.
Llantwit return to Cymru South action on Tuesday with their first away game of the season at Ammanford (7.30 kick off)
