Penarth Conservative Club Takes On Darts Marathon to Support People Living With Cancer

Friday, 31 July 2026 11:46

Penarth Conservative Club will step up to the oche on Sunday 20 September 2026 as members take on Macmillan Cancer Support’s Darts Marathon, aiming to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.

The club will be attempting to hit a combined 100,000 points during the marathon, which will take place at the Cons Club throughout the day.

Chair Kay Guy said the challenge is about far more than darts “At Penarth Conservative Club, we're taking on the Macmillan Darts Marathon because every point scored is a step towards supporting people living with cancer. It's more than just a game—it's our way of giving back, bringing our community together, and helping Macmillan continue the incredible care and support they provide to those who need it most. Together, we'll aim for 100,000 points and make every dart count.”

The Darts Marathon raises money for Macmillan’s frontline services and encourages people affected by cancer to speak openly about their experiences rather than feeling they must face the illness alone.

Macmillan provides a wide range of support, from its free telephone helpline and Online Community to specialist nurses who offer medical, emotional and practical help to patients and their families.
